Ingredients: 1 Bannana, 1 cup of Oatmeal, Cinnamon (optional)
Tools: Mixing Bowl, Fork and Cookie Sheet. Oven
Cooking Time and Temperature: Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Cook cookies until bottoms are golden brown (approximately 8 to 10 minutes)
Cooking Steps:
Step 1: Mash bannana with a fork, until there are almost no clumps left. It is easier to work with a ripe bannana.
Step 2: Add oatmeal. Continue using a fork to mix bannana and oatmeal together. The oatmeal should get moist and sticking together so it can be shaped. Leave the mixture to sit for a minute or so, this will allow the oatmeal to obsorbe more moisture. Note: If you would like, at this step you can add other ingredients such as vanilla extract, craisins, cut up figs, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, peanut butter, nuts….etc.
Step 3: Butter the cookie sheet. Use a small spoon to transfer the bannana oatmeal mixture unto the greesed cookie sheet. You can leave the mixture as round lumps or use a fork to press it down for a more flatter round cookie shape.
Step 4: Sprinkle each cookie with cinnamon. If you want your kitchen to get a really crisp cinnamon order, grater the cinnamon sticks over each cookie.
Step 5: Place your cookie sheet into the oven and bake until the bottoms are golden brown. If you like a crispier top keep them in longer. Cool on a cookie rack or eat them right away while they are still warm.
